[Film Introduction ]:

Ii. In 1930s, Chinese actress Ruan Xiaoyu committed suicide at the top of her career, leaving a Statement of awesome words. She has been living with Zhang Damin for many years. Later she and Tang jishan had a good time, but she repeatedly asked her for money. As a result, she became the headlines of the tabloids. Finally, she killed herself angrily, it is also her silent resistance to conservative forces.

"Ruan Xiaoyu" allows Zhang manyu to win the best actress of the Berlin Film Festival. It is also a work that pushes Zhang manyu's film career to its peak. After hearing the content of a documentary, Zhang manyu switched from a vase to an acting actress, Zhang manyu said: Isn't that very similar to me?

Interestingly, this role was originally played by Mei yanfang, who said she did not want to film in mainland China.

The film won 5 awards for the 12th Hong Kong Film "Golden Award" and Zhang manyu won the Best Actress Silver Bear Award at the Berlin International Film Festival, the first Chinese actress to win the award at the International Film Festival.
