The fire of Android is indeed fierce enough. As the saying goes: Mu Xiuyu Lin, a must-have character, can be easily used on Android.
Due to the recent focus on the android architecture, you may not have to go online to view information, and accidentally find that android has a lawsuit.
Incident 1: In March this year, Apple sued HTC for infringing nearly 20 patents on several of its mobile phones, nearly half of which were Windows Mobile Platforms and the other half of which were Android platforms, this is currently in progress.
Event 2, also in July March this year, Microsoft negotiated with HTC, saying that HTC's Android mobile phone used Microsoft's patent and then the two sides signed a cooperation agreement on July April 27, HTC pays Microsoft patent fees for each mobile phone sold. This result was confirmed on Microsoft's official website.
Event 3: In August this year, Oracle sued Google's Android system for infringement of Java's intellectual property rights. The target is of course the Java Virtual Machine in Android, and the incident is in progress.
Of course, there may be other incidents that I did not notice. For the three incidents, what are the reasons behind them?
For event 1, Apple points to HTC, a mobile terminal manufacturer, and not just android in the model. It can be seen that Apple is not directly targeting Google, the focus is also on the shell technology developed by HTC. I don't think this event has any impact on Android itself. It is a warning to Google at most. Be careful not to use my patents in Android, otherwise ......
For event 2, this is Microsoft's consistent solution in the patent case. It is able to receive fees and maintain cooperation, and both parties have been cooperating on Windows Mobile for many years. Like Apple, the target is still the HTC shell, not the Android system itself.
For event 3, this problem is still serious. Java Virtual Machine (VM) is not only the focus of Oracle, but also the core of Android. Oracle directly uses this as the target to send difficulties to Google. I think this case may take a long time. On the one hand, we can find out the technical details, on the other hand, both parties are it giants, and there is also a bunch of open-source JavaCommunityIs not irritating. However, I still feel that Oracle is eager to launch the program rather than focusing on revitalizing Java, which may bring other emotions to some developers. Of course, if Oracle wins, Android will be greatly affected. If google pays the Patent Fee with great wealth, I wonder whether it will affect the free android model or use another virtual machine? Modify the architecture? The same is a big change.
However, these events have no impact on Android. In the future, I 'd like to pay attention to the progress of event 3.
From the technical point of view, Android is indeed outstanding.
