For companies like IBM and Microsoft, the chance of getting an interview by submitting a resume is basically a sea of stone. The reason is very simple: your resume is mixed with 10 thousand people. Some people may have opened their resumes on a sunny afternoon by a top five hundred HR mm who had been picking their teeth after dinner, and thus embarked on the well-known road, but the probability is really low, even if your experience matches the JD published by these awesome companies. I personally think this is a good way. I talked with a top 500 HR staff. The candidates for inner pushing are considered reliable and trusted, in other words the most reliable.
