Concerned about the configuration of some switches, here are a few useful commands:
1.spanning-tree Portfast
Normally, the spanning tree protocol guarantees redundancy while avoiding loops, but changes in state require some delay, which may not be allowed in the network, especially connected hosts, Cisco has a new feature like Portfast, but it is painful to configure this command on each port. In fact, you can configure this command in global mode.
Switch (config) #spanning-tree portfast Default
This command configures all ports configured for access port to the correct mode.
2.switchport Host
This command can configure the port to the following modes, eliminating many commands
Switch (config) # interface range FA0/1-24
Switch (config-if-range) # Switchport Host
Switchport mode is set to access
Spanning-tree Portfast would be enabled
Channel Group'll be disabled
3.smartport
Smartport Simple is a macro, the port can apply this macro to simplify configuration, Cisco defaults to the following several Smartport templates
switch# Show Parser Macro Brief
Cisco-desktop
Cisco-phone
Cisco-switch
Cisco-router
Sample-macro
Of course you can define it yourself.
switch# Config T
Switch (config) # macro name Test-macro
ENTER macro commands one per line. End with the character ' @ '.
Switchport Block Unicast
Switchport Block Multicast
@
Specific configuration commands do not say, Cisco has detailed documentation, it is fun.
