Three ways to install Ubuntu software

Three kinds of software installation methods commonly used under Ubuntu:

Apt-get Deb package source code installation

1 Apt-get

Use after setting up update source, automatically handle dependencies, unable to set installation path

Installation: sudo apt-get install * *;

Uninstall: sudo apt-get remove * *; sudo apt-get autoremove * *

2 Deb Package

The developer provides a good installation package, similar to the EXE file under win. Sometimes need to receive processing dependencies, unable to establish the installation path;

Installation: Dpkg-i **.deb;

Uninstall: Dpkg-r **.deb;

3 Source Code Installation

Download source code, TAR-ZXVF **.tar.gz Unpack Package

Configuration:./configure---prefix= set the installation path

Make
