Three-week experience in Pune, India

February 27 from Chengdu to Pune, the whole process is very tangled, need to fly to Shanghai in Chengdu, then Shanghai flew to Delhi, the last Delhi, Pune. The entire itinerary is not completed until 7 in the morning of Saturday, from 2 pm to Sunday. 7 in the morning of Sunday is Pune's time. About Travel

Pune's streets are narrow and roads are poorly repaired, mostly two mobile lanes, and there are mostly no sidewalks on the road. On the road the motorcycle and the car mix, the driver needs extremely high driving skill. Crossing the road is a skill that pedestrians have to master, and the timing of the traffic is quickly passed. There was a main road that I spent 10 minutes passing.

The most common means of transport on Pune Street is a tricycle called auto, which can be used to make a watch, and a maximum of 3 people. There are no taxis in the street that are marked by a heavy car. My Indian colleague told me that if you want to take a taxi you can use Uber or olaclubs software. About diet

Company tube breakfast and supper. Most are pancake with a variety of curry. Vegetables are potatoes and broccoli. Every week seems to be a day with chicken, other time is vegetarian. Just recently on weight loss, so vegetarian is ok for me. Indians do not eat beef, pork is seldom eaten, only chicken is common. These chicken practices are very different from those in China and taste far worse than China's.

At dinner, colleagues often go to a restaurant together. I didn't go to a lot because I went on a diet. Because the whole lecturers team is a multinational force, there are Indians, Chinese, British, Australians, Americans, Germans, Brazilians ... So go to the restaurant is also a variety of Indian native, but also the European and American wind, is not found an authentic Chinese restaurants.

Eating out of the restaurant feels like Pune's consumption is more expensive than the domestic, it is also possible that we go to the restaurants in Pune is a relatively high. We dare not go to the cheap restaurant, in case it is troublesome to eat a bad stomach.

This is the teppanyaki mutton eaten in a restaurant. The mutton taste is not very good, but the weight is very sufficient, I eat very full.

About accommodation

The first week in Pune lived in an apartment called [email protected], a bit like a 7-day hotel. There is no internet in the room, need to go to the top floor of the restaurant. The room is very simple, not even a desk, but there is a separate bathroom. Because of the high summer temperature in Pune, often soar to more than 40 degrees, so the ceiling fan and air conditioning configuration rate is still very high. But these air conditioners look very old, the noise is very big, the ceiling fan noise is smaller than the air conditioning.

The second week began to change to another place, is a community. A group of security guards at the door 24 hours. The area is well equipped with basketball courts, tennis courts, gym and swimming pool. But the pool water is very dirty, basically in the state of abandonment. A variety of equipment in the gym is complete, no coaches, go to the words of their own practice, 600 rupees one months, the price is quite affordable ah. I live in three rooms and one living room, with two other colleagues. The network in the room is very bad, go out off the net.

About Shopping

In total, there have been two shopping malls in three weeks. One is the Phenix Mall, and the domestic mall is similar. There are a number of brands around the world, there are supermarkets, cinemas, gyms, playgrounds, as well as a variety of restaurants, such as KFC, McDonald's, Pizza Hut and so on. I bought a pair of running shoes here, the Indian popular power brand, a total of more than 3,000 rupees, the brand is more expensive shoes. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Another mall called D-mart, is actually a big supermarket. It was the night of Sunday, when the checkout was super-crowded, everyone pushed the trolley, and everything in the car was filled. We spent 1 hours in line to checkout. Because the first experience is not good, so I have never been to this shop.

Tell me more interesting things about Pune.

1. There are many stray dogs in the street, which is almost everywhere. They live leisurely every day, lying on the ground to sleep motionless, even if you come to ignore you.

1. Go to the mall, good restaurants, office buildings at the door to security. Actually feel security is to do look, with equipment are very old.
2. Pune has real beggars, and many years of old children will chase you for money. Unlike domestic beggars, these kids will take the initiative to reach out to you, which can make you feel uncomfortable.
3. Pune's buses operate without closing the doors, which are generally very old. I haven't been on the bus yet.
4. India here is not everyone knows English, in fact, the penetration of English is not as high as you think. But we foreigners have little contact with people who don't understand English.
5. Now in Pune's summer, the daytime temperature is up to 30 degrees, I heard that April is the hottest time, the temperature can reach more than 40 degrees. Morning and evening are still cooler. I stayed in an air-conditioned office for most of the day, so the heat didn't bother me much.
6. It is more prevalent to call for takeout in Pune. Maybe it's because it's so hot that people don't want to go out for dinner. You can use the mobile app Zomato to find restaurants and order meals, similar to the domestic public reviews.

Last Sunday at Pune I took part in a local offline marathon, and it was a rare experience. Let me remember deep is the beginning of the warm-up activities, just the beginning of the host or lead stretched arm legs, a few minutes later evolved into a dance, a full jump for more than 20 minutes.
