Tab
If you love Firefox's label-Based browsing, you should also love tagged emails. Tagged browsing allows you to load emails on different tabs so that you can quickly jump between multiple emails. You may be replying to an email. Refer to an earlier email. Tagged emails allow you to open multiple emails at the same time for easier reference.
Double-click an email or click Enter to open the email in the new tab window. Right-click the email or folder to open it in the new tab in the background.
When you exit Thunderbird, existing tabs are saved and restored the next time you open Thunderbird. There is a new tab menu item on the tab toolbar to help you switch between tabs.
