Mode: ARP Gateway

Recommended Use!

Advantages: No need to change the network topology. The monitor can be turned off and the network is restored to an administrative state.

Disadvantage: only suitable for single segment environment, the number of managed machines is best not more than 200 units.

Requirements: The router cannot open the ARP firewall and cannot do ip-mac binding. The managed computer cannot open the ARP firewall and bindings.

Note: must first set up a good network bridge, and then install the day easily into the network management software. Remember!!!

Advantages: Applicable to any network environment, powerful, can break through the ARP firewall for management.

Disadvantages: None.

Requirements: A computer with dual network card placed between the router/firewall and the switch, and on this computer Configuration Network Bridge, install software.

1. Prepare a computer with dual network card (two gigabit card is recommended);

2. Install the operating system that supports the Network Bridge: Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Vista, Windows7, Windows Server 2008;

6. Installation and Setup program: Installation program (including server and console), run the program, log on to the service side. In the Setup Wizard on the toolbar, on the first page of the Setup Wizard, select Network Bridge mode. In the Setup Wizard, the second page, in the selection of network card, you should select the internal switch network card, can not choose the bridge to come out of the network card (such as do not know which net cards are near the intranet network card, you can try two nets cards);

7. Click the "Start Management" icon in the toolbar to manage the entire LAN;

Mode: Dual Network card Gateway

Advantages: Applicable to the network at the exit of a computer dial-up agent on the Internet, the function is very strong, can break through the ARP firewall to achieve all functions.

Disadvantages: None.

Requirements: Need a computer to do the gateway, the monitoring software installed in the Export Dial computer office.

Mode: Single network card gateway

Advantages: Harmonious coexistence with the managed computer ARP firewall. There is no need to change the network topology.

Deployment: Example: Network original gateway 192.168.0.1, intranet computer ip:192.168.0.x;

1. Modify the original gateway IP for unused IP, such as 192.168.0.254;

2. Modify the Monitoring computer IP: 192.168.0.1, the gateway is: 192.168.0.254;

3. In the Monitoring computer installation Gateway Agent software, agent intranet computer Internet;
