I. Windows Super Terminal
The most direct way to debug routers and switches is to use a Super Terminal. Connect the device to the computer's serial port (and) using the configuration, and then use the Super Terminal in the Windows attachment to log on to the device.
First, open the Super Terminal Program in the attachment, enter a zone number in the window that opens, select the TCP/IP protocol, and then enter the port and address of the device. After successful logon, how can we save the records! In fact, it is very simple. We only need to open the "transfer" menu and select the "Capture text" command. A save window will pop up and click "Browse" to set the Save location, after setting, click the "Start" button. The operation steps are recorded in detail (figure 1 ).

Ii. Professional tools-SecureCRT
The advantage of using a Super Terminal is that it is simple and convenient, but its functions are limited. SecureCRT is a very professional device remote debugging tool.
When using SecureCRT for device debugging, you only need to open the "Receive ASCII" command under the "Transfer" menu (Figure 2 ), in the displayed window, select the saved location and file name.

It can be said that saving the device debugging record is a very important task in the network management work. We will introduce two methods for different applications. You can choose to use them based on your actual situation.
