ArcGIS can be divided into two parts: layer display and map display.

1. if you only want to display a part of the element class that meets the condition in a layer, there is a difinition query tab in the layer property, where you can set filter conditions through the provided Query Builder, after the application is applied, only those that meet the filtering conditions can be displayed to achieve the filtering effect.

2. If you want to partially display the entire map, you need to set the map attribute. Right-click layers, select clip to shape on the dataframe tab, and specify an area as the mask. After setting, the map only displays the elements in the area.
