Simplified Search
By default, Windows 8/8.1 contains each bound application in its search results, and if you do not want to see some applications, click the Control Panel on the Metro screen, select Search, and select applications that you do not want to see. This makes the list of users easier to manage.
Touch Type keyboard
By default, touch keyboards are very useful for users, such as playing sounds when they type, automatically adjusting the first letter at the beginning of each sentence to uppercase, and leaving space when you double-click the SPACEBAR. If one of these features is something you don't like, go to the Control Panel--Customize the keyboard to meet your needs.
Selectively synchronizing
Windows 8 can sync settings across each system, which sounds good, but it can easily lead to privacy issues, which synchronize Internet history, passwords, and so on. If this does not meet your needs, then you can customize the sync from the Metro Control Panel, click Sync PC Settings, and select the options you prefer.
The complete Control Panel
Hold down the Windows+r key, type Control.exe and press ENTER to open a complete control panel directly.
Windows 8 Resource Manager
Today, the Windows 8 resource Manager contains a Ribbon user interface.
Hide Ribbon
If you think ribbon takes up too much space, here's how to hide Ribbon: Hold down the Windows+r key, enter Gpedit.msc press ENTER, click on the Computer Configuration--Admin Template--windows component--file explorer.
Double-click Start File Explorer in a ribbon-minimized display to enable this feature.
Quick Access Toolbar
The latest resource manager includes a Quick Access Toolbar feature that allows users to easily access options such as new folder, minimize, and undo Delete.
Disk Error Checking
When checking for drive errors, Windows 8/8.1 also provides an additional option, the Scan drive option, and the new scan and repair option to fix problems with your computer.
Improved File replication
When you copy files in Explorer, users will be able to see an enhanced dialog box that provides more information and, if there is a problem, the user can click the pause button for a period of time. If there is a conflict, then the user can decide which files to retain or cancel.
Mount ISO files in Windows 8/8.1
Want to take a closer look at an ISO file? Right-click the resource Manager, click Mount and then view a virtual drive, where the user can open the file or add more files.
