Tips for using the vmware ESXI system.
First, activate vSphere client, the management machine of vmware ESXI on the server.
After ESXI is installed on the server, how can we manage the ESXI? It is definitely not 2003 remote management. We need to download a VMware vSphere Client from www.vmware.com, or upgrade it to the latest version on other websites. Now the latest is vmware-viclient-all-5.0.0-455964.exe, the specific address is https://www.vmware.com/tryvmware/p/activate.php? P = free-esxi & lp = 1 & a = DOWNLOAD_FILE & baseurl = https://download2.vmware.com/software/vi/&filename=VMware-viclient-all-5.0.0-455964.exe note that you need to register an account and log on to the above connection to download.
Second, activate vSphere.
After you log on to the system, a 60-day trial evaluation period will be displayed. Below are some serial numbers, and the input will be unlimited.

If not, download the registration machine.

Third, the installation of the Virtual Machine System.
After vmware ESXI is installed, we remotely connect to it using the VMware vSphere Client. Then we need to create a virtual host and install the operating system.
First, click "list" and name the list. For example, you can manage ip addresses. The specific Virtual Machine creation will not be mentioned, but there is a small suggestion, that is, the memory and space must be allocated in advance before you start to create a virtual machine. The hard disk size of the virtual machine cannot be reduced, we recommend that you set the default delay to zero.
The system is installed below. The difference between the vmware esxi version and the server version is that it does not support network access. You need to upload the iso file of our installation system from the vSphere Client to the server.
Click the list we created, select "summary", and then we will see our hard disk in "Memory.
Select the hard disk in the storage, right-click, and select Browse database storage to open the hard disk directory on our server.
Create a folder and upload the system ISO file.
Then, the virtual optical drive loads the iso file and creates a new virtual machine to install the system,
Tip: How to enable BIOS for a virtual machine.
In virtual machine settings, select "option", and then select "Force enter the BISO setting screen when the virtual machine is booted next time ".
Remember: you generally need to install the SATA driver.
Fourth, install vmware tools.
It is relatively simple. First, you need to load the iso file package of the corresponding system, load it from the "ISO configuration linked to data storage" in the Virtual Drive, and find the vmimages/tools-isoimages folder, select the appropriate tools iso file package, go to the system, find the cd, and double-click to install it.
Fifth, data transmission.
You cannot copy text from the Client and paste it in the VM when managing the system in the VM on the vSphere client. There are two solutions.
Method 1: If it is windows, enable 3389 for the virtual machine, and then manage the virtual machine through the Remote Desktop, so that you can copy text.
Method 2: if it is not windows, or I don't want to activate an Internet ip address for the virtual machine, just like using the vSphere Client, we can download a green single-file version of UltraISO, compress our data into an iso file, upload it to vmware ESXI, and then load and read it through cd.
I wrote so much, hoping to help friends who need it.
The virtual machine home is a very good comprehensive website on VM-related aspects. I learned a lot from it many years ago. Recently I went to see it and I was unable to access it. The virtual machine home is gone and I am sorry.
