Tips for using Mac OS: quick and convenient Mini Dock and Mini Dock
I forgot to mention the Mini Dock. Here are some supplements. Mini Dock is a highlight of Mac OSX worth the special book. Although there are similar things in windows, the Mac provides more comprehensive functions. Using the Mini Dock bar, you can quickly switch, hide, and close running apps. This is more convenient and convenient than the previously mentioned Mission Control, and this function is also unknown to many people. The author also saw it from the book before. When I think about it, write it, I used it for so long and I don't know it. It's a bit blushing.
On Mac, press command + Tab to open the Mini Dock provided by the system. The figure is as follows: (forgive me for not knowing how to hold down the command, or taking a picture on the phone without further research. If someone knows, leave a message for me to learn from each other ~ Thank you ~)
Here you can directly select the APP you want to quickly arrive. You can translate your fingers on the touchpad or click the selected mouse. This is also a quicker switch mode than Mission Control. Under the Mini Dock, the double finger moves to the selected program on the touchpad. Pressing the H key will be hidden, and pressing the Q key will exit directly. Press the number 1 or the up and down scissors to quickly open the Expose of the APP. This is also the most convenient way to switch the status of an APP. I hope this convenient and quick Mini Dock will help you.

Mac OS x usage tips
The main function of Suitecase is to enable or disable the font shape without restarting the instance. This feature is a very useful feature for desk typographical staff or font collection fans. Of course you can fill the system folder with different fonts, but it will also eat a lot of valuable memory. You can open the font individually or in groups. You can create a group for a specific job or homogeneous font. These groups can be temporarily opened or closed with the program specified by the user.
According to the Extensis guidelines, Suitecase 8 can be fully compatible with Mac operating systems between 7.5.5 and 8.6, and is compatible with Mac OS 9.0 to some extent. The MenuFonts component in Suitecase is incompatible with OS 9, and no correction version has been announced so far. Version 8 also improved the ability to create a font group. Currently, AppleScript can be used to create and control the font group. (Although AppleScript is supported, the recording function of AppleScript is not supported ). AppleScript can create groups, Add fonts, start groups or dashes, close groups and dashes, and all other things that Suitecase can do. Suitecase 8 supports the drag-and-drop function, so you can drag and drop the font to create a group.
You can now temporarily enable the font by dragging the font to the Suitecase image (the font is not a part of the group, so it will not appear in the group window ), it can be easily closed after the font is used. In version 8, there is a "Suitecase FontAgent", which is used to search all the fonts on the hard disk, remove the same fonts, classify the TureType and PostScript fonts separately, and organize the fonts.
Suitecase now comes with the "MenuFonts" program to replace the "as-you-go" menu after Suitecase 3.0. The MenuFonts in Suitecase 8 can display the desired font menu, integrate the fonts of the same family into a step menu, and provide different-size pre-views, as well as the font id and corresponding printer name and other information. However, be careful that MenuFonts is not compatible with similar tools such as Adobe Type Reunion. If you use more than one similar tool, you just need to do so.
Other new features include the ability to use Suitecase 8 XT to automatically start the dashboard under QuarkXpress. This XTension can be very clever-who wants a stupid XTension? ── The glyphs required to start the QuarkXpress file, and even contains the fonts required to break the logs into the EPS file. Suitecase 8 XT will automatically disable the font after exiting QuarkXpress to avoid accumulating the automatically started font.
Note: When using Adobe ImageReady, you may encounter some problems. Adobe Illustrator and InDesign have their own built-in font menu functions. When MenuFonts is in these applications, you may encounter situations where fonts cannot be normally organized. Use Adobe built-in menu functions, add Illustrator and InDesign to the preset of MenuFonts.
Suitecase's MenuFonts are incompatible with the built-in "as-you-go" function in Microsoft Word or Corel WordPerfect. Before using MenuFonts, you must disable the "as-you-go" function in these programs. The font menu toolbar is not supported under Microsoft Office. To use the MenuFonts font menu, select a font in the main menu instead of a font in the toolbar. The MenuFonts of Suitecase cannot change the font menu to match the menu changed by Kaleidoscope .... After mac OS x 1074 is installed, the dock is very stuck.
First, the Dock is very slow. I have encountered this problem because the remaining memory of the system is too small. I just released the memory, but I don't know if your situation is the same as mine.
You can try restarting the system. If not, you can also upgrade it to Mountain Lion to see if it will improve. Your 8 GB memory is certainly no problem. 8 GB has been able to run Lion and Mountain Lion very well.
