Tivoli Directory Server v6.3 installation record in Linux environment Step 2: Install TDS software

The IBM Tivoli Directoy Server is a complete implementation of the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (lightweight directories access PROTOCOL,LDAP), powerful, stable and reliable, and is the foundation rock for building enterprise portals;

This series of articles to explain the TDs installation related knowledge;

Environment Description:

Hardware environment: Lenovo E440, i7, 12GB, 500GB;

Virtual Appliance: VMWare WorkStation + RHEL5.6 X64;

Install Product: IBM Tivoli Directory Server v6.3;

First, the preparatory work

First, upload the installation media of the IBM Tivoli Directory Server v6.3 to the server and unzip it;

The installation media name is "Tds63-linux-x86-64-base.tar" and is extracted using the following command:

tar -xvf tds63-linux-x86--base. Tar

When the decompression is complete, a directory named "tdsV6.3" is generated in the sibling directory;

Second, start the TDS v6.3 installation program

Switch to "Tdsv6.3/tds" directory, execute the following command to start the installation program;

./install_tds.bin

When the installation Language selection screen appears, keep the default (English) and click the OK button;

Finally, the installation interface appears;

III. implementation of TDS v6.3 installation process

1, click "Next" button in the installation first interface;

2, in the agreement interface, tick "agree" and click "Next" button;

3, the database detection interface, the system has detected the installed database products;

Installed database: DB2 9.7.0.6/opt/ibm/db2/v9.7

Click on the "Next" button to continue;

4, select "Custom" in the installation type interface;

Click on the "Next" button to continue;

5, in the component selection interface to remove the "Web administration Tool 6.3" check;

Click on the "Next" button to continue;

6, in the summary interface to confirm the selection is correct;

Click the "Install" button to perform the installation of TDS products;

7, the implementation of product installation;

8, appear the following interface on behalf of TDS product installation completed;

Click "Finish" button to complete the TDS product installation;

9. The TDS instance management interface will pop up at the same time as the installation Completion screen, as shown in:
