TL-TR861 mini router settings guide

TL-TR861Mini supports China Unicom HSPA + standard 3G network, 3G download speed up to 21 Mbps. Without an additional 3G network adapter, you only need to insert a 3g sim card of China Unicom to convert the high-speed 3G network into a Wi-Fi signal for tablet computers, smart phones, laptops and other WIFI terminals to share 3G internet access.

The following describes the basic settings of the TL-TR861Mini in detail.

1. Set up a vro quickly

1. Install SIM card

Open the router cover and place the 3G card in the SIM card slot. You can view the basic information of the device on the rear side of the router. Record the router management IP Address, user name and password, and the MAC Address of the device, as shown in the following figure.

2. Connect wireless signals

Connect the router to an available USB port. The computer through the wireless network card can find the router SSID (Wireless Signal name), the default SSID is TL-LINK_3G_XXXXXX (XXXXXX is the last six digits of the MAC address, the MAC Address is the MAC Address seen in the device information in the previous step ). Click "connect" to connect the computer to the wireless network, as shown in the following figure.

3. Log on to the vro management page

Open the browser and enter 192.168.1.1 in the address bar of the browser. The password input dialog box is displayed. The default value is admin (the old version requires the user name and password, and the default value is admin/admin, click log on.

4. Set vro parameters quickly

The default dialing method of the vro is "automatic connection". When you log on to the management page, you can see that the vro has been successfully dialed and the network parameters have been obtained in the connection status, however, the wireless network of the router is not encrypted at this time, and any wireless device can connect to the router. To prevent network attacks, you can set basic vro parameters through the setting wizard. Click the Settings Wizard, as shown in the following figure.

Click next.

Set the dialing parameters, as shown in the following figure. Keep the default parameters without changing any settings. Click next. (If you need to reset the number, contact China Unicom to confirm the dial-up number, user name, and password ).

Set wireless parameters: the device default SSID is TL-LINK_3G_XXXXXX (XXXXXX is the last six digits of the MAC address), wireless WPA-PSK AES key is empty. To help identify the router's wireless signal and prevent others from network, it is recommended to modify the SSID (such as TL-LINK_3G_861) and wireless WPA-PSK AES key (such as 123456789), click next. (Note: Do not use Chinese characters for wireless SSID ).

 

The configuration is complete. Confirm the vro parameters set in the preceding steps. Click finish.

After you click finish, the vro will automatically restart.

5. Connect the router wireless signal again:

After the reboot is complete, the vro's network name has been modified (this example is the TL-LINK_3G_861Mini) and set the wireless key (this example is 123456789), so you need to re-search the vro signal and enter the wireless key for connection, as shown in the following figure.

The wireless connection is successful, as shown in the following figure.

6. The settings are complete.

Now, the basic settings of the vro are complete, and the computer can access the Internet, and other wireless terminals can connect to the wireless network to share 3G Internet access.
