The chart features in the Word2007 document are more flexible and more powerful than the WORD2003 charting tool, Microsoft Graph. To get the most out of charting, users should create charts in Word2007 documents instead of using the chart feature in WORD97~WORD2003-compliant documents.
The steps to create a chart in a Word2007 document are as follows:
In step 1th, open the Word2007 document window and switch to the Insert Ribbon. Click the Chart button in the illustrations group, as shown in the figure.
Click the Chart button
Step 2nd, open the Insert Chart dialog box, select the chart type you want to create in the list of chart types on the left, select the appropriate chart in the right-hand chart subtype list, and click OK, as shown in the figure.
Select chart Type
Step 3rd, in the Open Excel2007 window, the user first needs to edit the chart data. For example, modify the series name and category name, and edit the specific values. When you edit Excel table data, the chart results are displayed synchronously in the Word2007 window, as shown in the figure.
Edit Excel Data
Step 4th, when you finish editing Excel table data, close the Excel2007 window, and in the Word2007 window you can see the chart where you created the completion, as shown in the figure.
