In the Word2010 document, the user can set the SmartArt graphic size either by dragging the SmartArt graphic border, or by entering a specific numeric setting size, which is described in the following tutorial:
Click to select a SmartArt graphic and 6 handles appear on the top, bottom, left, right, and four corners of the graphics border. Point to these handles, and then drag to change the size of the SmartArt graphic when the mouse pointer changes to a double-headed arrow shape. If you hold down the SHIFT key while you are dragging, you can lock the aspect ratio, as shown in Figure 2011071506.

If you want to set the size of your SmartArt graphic more precisely, you can do so by specifying a specific number. Select the SmartArt graphic and enter the width and height in the size group in the SmartArt Tools/Formatting ribbon, as shown in Figure 2011071507.

In addition, users can specify the height and width of the SmartArt graphic in the Layout dialog box, as described in the following steps:
Step 1th, select the SmartArt graphic in the Word2010 document, right-click the SmartArt graphic, and choose other layout Options from the Open shortcut menu, as shown in Figure 2011071508.

Step 2nd, open the Layout dialog box, switch to the Size tab, and enter the values for height and width, respectively. If you select the Lock aspect ratio check box, you can keep the aspect ratio of your SmartArt graphic unchanged. Click the OK button when you finish setting, as shown in Figure 2011071509.
