To set WordArt soft edge effects in a Word2010 document

Step 1th, open the Word2010 document window, and click the WordArt object that you want to set the soft edge effect on so that it is in an edited state.

2nd step, in the drawing tools/Formatting ribbon, click the Shape Effects button in the Shape Styles group.

Step 3rd, open the Shape Effects menu and point to the soft edges option. The WordArt in the Word2010 document displays the final effect in real time, in any one of the soft edge effects in the list of open soft edges effects. Make sure you click the effect after you use one of the soft edges effects.

If the user wants to further set the soft edge effect, you can select the soft edge Options command in the soft edge effects list.

Opens the Format Picture dialog box, where users can further set the size of the soft edges in the glow and soften edges tab. When you finish setting up, click the Close button.
