Windows Task Manager can be used to view the current running programs, startup process, CPU and memory usage information, which provides us with a way to further solve the problem, with a good task manager is the rookie of the road to the master.

1. For you to benefit from the unlimited number of tricks

★ Selective window Control: We control all windows by using commands such as "Cascade windows" and "Tile Windows" in the right menu of the taskbar, but what about several windows? One way to do this is to hold down CTRL and select the window you want to control in the taskbar, right-click, and select the appropriate command. The other method is: Under the Application tab of Task Manager, also, press CTRL and select the program you want to manipulate, right-click, and select the command, which has the advantage that if we open a large number of windows, we often can't see what the window is in the taskbar. Easy to cause misoperation, but different in Task Manager.

★ always focus on CPU usage: Normally we only care about the CPU resources of all the programs that are running in the system, we can select the "Options" menu in Task Manager, check "minimize when using" and "Hide when minimized", then run "Regedit" Open Registry Editor, navigate to the "Hkey_local_machinesoftwaremicrosoftwindowscurrentversionrun" branch, create a new REG_SZ value named "TaskManager", and modify its value to "" C:windowssystem32cmd.exe "/C" Start "/minc:windowssystem32taskmgr.exe". So we can hover the mouse at any time in the system tray area of a green icon, wait a moment, CPU resources in a panoramic view.

Call Task Manager when
★ remote control: When we use Windows XP Remote Desktop Connection or use third party software for remote control, to open Task Manager on each other's system, do not use Alt+ctrl+del or Ctrl+shift+esc hotkey, This opens the Task Manager for this computer, and the correct way is to run the Task Manager command in the right-click menu of the taskbar.

★ Cooler Task Manager Turn on Hot keys: If you have to bother pressing three key combinations to open Task Manager, create a desktop shortcut for C:windowssystem32taskmgr.exe, right-click on the shortcut, and select Properties. and assign a hotkey to it (such as F5).

You can also play "Run" in
★ Task Manager: If the "Run" command on the Start menu is blocked, try selecting "File → new Task (run)" in Task Manager, the effect is the same.

2. Add a "switch" to the Task manager

in Windows XP, there are three ways to disable and enable Task Manager:

method One: Run the "Regedit" command to open Registry Editor, and then navigate to the "Hkey_current_usersoftwaremicrosoftwindowscurrentversionpoliciessystem" branch, Locate the "DisableTaskMgr" item on the left (if none is new, its type is REG_DWORD), the value set to 1 is forbidden, and 0 is enabled.

method Two: Run the "gpedit.msc" command to open the Group Policy Settings window, expand the local computer policy → user Configuration → administrative Templates → system →ctrl+alt+del option, and on the right, in the Delete Task Manager property, set to Enabled.

method Three: The above two methods for all users, if you want to disable a single user settings, you can open the C:windowssystem32 directory, right-click Taskmgr.exe, select the "Open with" menu, in the pop-up "Run Identity" window to check " The following users, and specify a user.

Tips:

You can see that the task Manager is grayed out in the right-click menu of the taskbar area, or that the "Task Manager has been deactivated by the system administrator" error when you run the Taskmgr command is resolved by the above settings. Also, if your task manager's "Process" TAB's "username" column information is missing (shown as blank), run the services.msc command to open the Service Settings window and restart the TerminalServices service.

3. " Double-click the application in Task Manager

many friends have to use countless task manager every day, but never know there are a lot of "double click" Tips:

★ Double-click the border area of Task Manager to display Task Manager in "Tinyfootprintmode" (compact mode, hide the color bar, MediaPlayer also provides similar functionality), and double-click to switch to full mode again.

★ switch to the Application tab, double-click a program in one of the lists to make the program correspond to the front window, which is especially effective for Windows XP taskbar that is often unresponsive, and we don't have to click the Toggle window in the taskbar. However, when you use this feature, be sure to uncheck "option → Front end display", otherwise the trick is not valid.

★ switch to the Application tab and double-click any space in the window to quickly minimize task Manager.

★ switch to the "performance", "Networking" tab, double-click any area of the window can be its corresponding graph in the most screen mode, easy to see.

4. Magical Task Manager, secret Dongdong running

First step: Make sure to enable the "Use Fast User Switching" feature in your user account, and then open the program you want to run, such as opening FLASHFXP, BT downloading, or Winamp listening to the song.

Step Two: Create a new account with administrator privileges (assuming its account name is 123), next open Task Manager, switch to the "User" tab, find the "123" account name in its list, right-click, select "Connect", enter the password for 123 account, and then switch to the account environment. All of our normal operations are then done in the account environment, and the previously secret program will not appear in the taskbar or the system tray, nor can it be found in the "apps" or "processes" of the task manager, but they are still running silently.

Tips:

to display these secret processes, we can click Show all user processes in the Process tab of Task Manager.
