When installing SQL2000, the system often prompts: the operation is suspended and requires the computer to be restarted, as shown in Figure 1:

After restarting, the problem persists when you install again.
Solution:
1: In the Start menu, click Run, enter regedit, open the registry.
2: Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager
Click the Filerenameoperations key to remove the PendingFileRenameOperations key value that appears in the right interface
3: Reinstall SQL Server.
Principle:
PendingFileRenameOperations records the operation of temporary files during setup, and when SQL Server is installed, this key is found to be a failure of the previous installer to reject the installation.
Theoretically, this key value should be removed after reboot, but for some reason, this operation may not be automatic, we need to delete the human.
