Tomcat6 Config admin

The binary core installation version after Tomcat 5.5 no longer integrates the Tomcat administration WEB application and requires a standalone download installation. While Tomcat 6.0.14 's administration WEB application does not have a standalone download installation package. However, it was found on the web that the administration Web application with Tomcat 5.5 could be configured successfully under Tomcat 6.0. The configuration process is now written, if there are flaws, but also please advise. The process is as follows:

First, download tomcat 5.5.23 Admin application:

Second, will extract the conf/catalina/localhost/admin.xml after the
Admin.xml file copy to Tomcat 6.0/conf/catalina/localhost. In the folder. Note Be sure to put it in the correct path folder. Copy the admin entire folder in/server/webapps to the Tomcat6/server/webapps folder.


Third, download Apache Commons modeler,logging components, after decompression will Commons-modeler-xxx.jar, Commons-logging-xxx.jar copy to Tomcat 6.0.14 in the Lib directory under the installation directory.

Restart Tomcat, enter http://127.0.0.1:8080/admin in the browser, and if you can see the login interface for Tomcat Web Server Administration Tool, the installation is successful. If unsuccessful, check the log files in the logs directory under the Tomcat 6.0.14 installation directory (Admin.2007-12-14.log) to see what's wrong.
