. This event is being run in conjunction with topcoder college tour. in addition to registering with topcoder, all competitors must register here and be onsite for the competition. after the event ends, pizza will be served and a topcoder representative will be present to discuss topcoder competitions and employment services.

All competitors will receive a topcoder T-shirt. placement in the SRM will be determined by the total number of points at the conclusion of the SRM. the competitor with the highest total positive (I. E ., greater than zero) points will finish in 1st place. the overall winner will receive the 1st place prize, the 2nd place finisher will receive the 2nd place prize, and the 3rd place finisher will receive the 3rd place prize.
Event Schedule
The timeline for the day of the event:
- 09:30 am CST-computer lab opens & competitors set up
- 10: 00 am CST-competition starts
- 11: 35 am cst-competition ends
- 11: 40 am CST-Pizza, results, topcoder presentation
Yingying Wu, A topcoder representative, will be present to explain the topcoder algorithm, design and development competitions, topcoder employment services, and other aspects of topcoder.
Technical notes
- Software or hardware Partition protection mechanic shocould be disabled for the duration of the competition. Please coordinate with the computer lab administration.
- We shoshould ensure that each competitor get at least 5kb bandwidth access to topcoder. A proxy server may be available at the competition time.
- Java Runtime Environment shocould be installed prior to the Competition Day. Competition Arena will be provided externally with instructions. topcoder will prepare the necessary installation files on the China website.
- Coding phase 75 minutes; intermission 5 minutes; challenge phase 15 minutes.
- Make sure each competitor is registered through the arena 5 minutes before the competition start time. Verify with the registrants listing.
- Check competitors 'id cards (with photo) with the handle that they log in with. topcoder will provide the name and handle mapping.
- Competitors can bring any reference material they want, including electronic materials.
- Competitors shocould not discuss anything related to the competition itself, including but not limited to, interpretation of the problems, solution, algorithm, language usage by means of oral, phone, Im, email, arena chat, etc.
- Competitors can request clarification for interpretation of the problems through the arena contact admin functionality. However admin can reject such request if there is no ambiguity.
- Competitors can ask onsite staff about competition rules or connection problems.
- Competitors must exclusively use code of their own, including code that they wrote previusly. Use Code of others wocould conducting cheating, including code with simple permutation of variable naming.
- Competitors must not purposely write confusing code to avoid being challenged.
- Each competitor shocould use a single computer at a time, no one shocould employ a second computer for any purpose, nor shocould they look at other competitor's computer for any purpose.
- Competitors can code outside the arena and paste into it in order to submit, at their own risk if they use a local compiler.
- During the challenge phase competitors must not by any means run their peer's codes locally, including type them into an IDE.
- The memory limit of each data set is 64 MB, while the time limit is 2 seconds. we use 10 (6 for Java, 2. net, 2 for C ++) 2-way 3.6g P4 Xeon systems for testing.
