TortoiseGit proxy settings

Preface

I helped my friend download a project on Google Code and installed TortoiseGit, a Windows client of Git. I found that the client could not connect to the project and the hosts file was easily interrupted, here we will share the solutions found.

I. error message

Error: Unknown SSL protocol error in connection to code.google.com: 443

 

Ii. Set an error proxy

Right-click TortoiseGit and choose Settings> Network.

Server address: 127.0.0.1

Port: 1988

 

3. correctly set proxy

Right-click TortoiseGit and choose Settings> Network.

Server address: http: // 127.0.0.1

Port: 1988
