Total Commander Common shortcut keys
Show Edit file:
F3: I'm afraid this is the most used shortcut, designed to view files. What needs to be explained is that the default installed TC version 5.5 can only view the text and some associated image files, the pictures only support a few types of BMP. If you need to see more types of files, you will also need to install Plug-ins.
Ctrl + Q: Quick Preview.
F4: Used primarily for editing text files. You can set up an external program to edit the text (I set the EditPlus).
Shift + F4: Creates a new text file and invokes Notepad editing (custom editor).
Ctrl + Z: Edit the description of the file/folder.
CTLT + Enter: View file or folder properties.
SPACEBAR: Select or deselect a file, such as when the folder is pressed, to calculate the space occupied by the folder.
Shift + SPACEBAR: Select the cursor and do not calculate the folder's capacity.
Alt + Shift + Enter: Calculate the space occupied by all folders under the current pane, and then click Size in the top bar to get the folder in order and quickly find the folder that occupies the most space.
Ctrl+shift+enter gets the absolute path of the file/folder where the cursor resides and displays it in the command line.
Manipulating Copy Files
F5: Copy files, which is one of the most commonly used shortcut keys. TC is divided into left and right two windows, we copy the cursor selected file to another window. In addition, the TC also supports the mouse to drag and drop the copy of the file, which is more convenient entirely by your personal preferences.
Shift + F5: Copy with Directory
F6: Moves the file and moves the selected file to another window.
