With the growing sophistication of wireless network technology, the price of wireless devices has also fallen to the level acceptable to our average consumer. We do not have to let the two rooms in the home computer can be at the same time the internet and a lot of trouble to pull the network with Proxy server. A wireless broadband router, a wireless network card can easily achieve our wish! And friends, family with wireless card notebook can also join this wireless network at any time, sharing files, printing, surfing the Internet, enjoy the freedom of wireless.

So let me explain how to get two computers in two rooms to quickly share the Internet via wireless broadband routers and wireless cards. We assume that the environment is like this, the house has two rooms have computer A, B, via ADSL connection Internet, ADSL connected to computer A, another room computer B can not access the Internet.

Now we take the Tp-link tl-wr541g wireless Broadband router and tl-wn550g Wireless PCI card As an example to see how to install the configuration to meet our requirements.

The hardware installation is quite simple: at Computer A, the ADSL modem is connected to the WAN port of the wireless broadband router via the network cable attached to the ADSL modem to prepare a 50-centimetre-long cable that connects computer A's network card with the LAN port of the wireless broadband router.

Then install the wireless network card in computer B, and install the wireless card with the CD driver and tool software, and finally connect the wireless Broadband router power, so that the hardware installation connection is completed.

　　Basic configuration for Wireless routers

When we first configure the wireless broadband router, the reference instructions to find the wireless broadband router default IP address is 192.168.1.1, the default subnet mask is 255.255.255.0

Since the Tp-link tl-wr541g configuration interface is browser-based, we have to set up the correct network settings, we have to connect computer A through the network card to the wireless Broadband router LAN port, then we have two ways to set up the IP address for computer A.

1, set the IP address of Computer A is 192.168.1.xxx (XXX range is 2 to 254), the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0, the default gateway is 192.168.1.1.

2, set up Computer A's TCP/IP protocol for "automatic Access", and then turn off the wireless broadband router and computer A power supply, first open the wireless broadband router power, and then start computer A, so the wireless broadband router built-in DHCP server will automatically set the IP address for computer A.

After completing the above steps, we use Computer A, open an IE browser window, enter http://192.168.1.1 on the address bar to enter the configuration interface.
