TP-Link wireless router settings graphic tutorial how to set a TP-Link Wireless Router Diagram
The following describes the settings of the tp link wireless router. In this example, we use a new vro. If you are not sure whether the vro has been set before, we recommend that you reset the TP-Link Wireless vro, for more information, see

Basic configurations of a wireless router

When we configure a Wireless Broadband Router for the first time, refer to the Manual to find that the default IP address of the Wireless Broadband Router is 192.168.1.1, and the default subnet mask is 255.255.255.0.

Because the TP-LINK TL-WR541G configuration interface is based on the browser, so we first need to establish the correct network settings, we have been computer A through the network card to the wireless broadband router LAN port, next, we can set an IP address for computer A in two ways.

1. Set the IP address of computer A to 192.168.1.xxx (xxx ranges from 2 to 254). For example, we can enter 192.168.1.6, The subnet mask is 255.255.255.0, and the default gateway is 192.168.1.1.

2. Set the TCP/IP protocol of computer A to "automatically obtain IP addresses", disable the power of Wireless Broadband Router and computer A, first turn on the power of Wireless Broadband Router, and then start computer, in this way, the DHCP server built in the Wireless Broadband Router automatically sets an IP address for computer.

After completing the above steps, we use computer A to open an IE browser window and enter http: // 192.168.1.1 in the address bar (the default password is admin and admin) the configuration page is displayed.

You don't need to introduce this. The initial logon page is displayed.

After logging on to the console, run the setup wizard. I have disabled the login and running wizard function. You can click the setup wizard on the Left bar. Click Next, as shown in

As I am now in the office and belong to the construction of a LAN in the LAN (the same principle), I will first introduce the static IP settings. Click "Next", as shown in the format.

You can now set your Internet IP address and other information. This is only for users with fixed ip addresses.

If you select pppoe settings (broadband dialing), a window appears, as shown in the figure above. enter your account and pw and click Next.

After the above settings, click Next in the first two steps (if dynamic IP is selected, it will jump directly to this place) to jump to the window as shown in figure. Here we can choose whether to enable the wireless status of the route, which is enabled by default. The SSID is the login name used by the wireless LAN for identity authentication. Only authenticated users can access this wireless network.

In the mode, you can select four options: 11 m, 54m, and 1200m. Only 11 m and 54m can select the frequency band. A total of 1-13 frequency bands are available, this effectively avoids close-range repeated frequency bands.

We should find that there are two memory M modes: Static mode and Dynamic mode. Either of them is static and dynamic. Note that if you select static ipvm mode, you must use a wireless network card that supports the fast-moving tm function to connect. We recommend dynamic or 54m adaptive.

As shown in the following figure, click Finish.

Now you have entered the LAN port setting for network parameter settings, that is, the LAN network segment you want to set up, and the IP address is the gateway you will use.

After the IP address is set, the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0 and 255.255.255.0.0.

If 255.255.255.0 is selected, a maximum of 254 IP addresses can be used. According to the IP address I set, 100.100.100.1-100.100.100.254 can be used, but the vro itself is occupied. so there are only 253 addresses.

If you select 255.255.0.0, you can use any IP address between 100.100.0.1-100.100.255.254 and beyond. 1 occupied by the vro.

Haha, this wan port setting is the wan (relative to local LAN) information we just set using the setup wizard.

We should have seen that there are seven wan port connection types to choose from. You can select them based on your own needs.

Mac address cloning does not need to be described in detail. It is mainly because the external device needs to bind a mac address before it needs to be changed to the allowed

This image is the basic setting of Wireless Parameters. Here we mainly describe the Security Settings. Of course, you need to enable the settings ~~ HOHO

Here, we need to introduce a lot of knowledge and wait for a while.

You can add allowed or prohibited mac addresses to access the Local Area Network. Generally, the host is not large. We recommend that you enable the allowed list. Remember to add the allowed mac addresses.

Whether you select allow or prohibit adding in the list in the previous step, it will be transferred to the such window, and you can set whether it is allowed or not here, you can choose to take effect or fail, huh, huh

Here, we do not need to describe it here. It mainly displays information about the computer and other devices connected to the vro and the packet size.

The following is an introduction Tp link wireless router settingsIn this example, we use a new vro. If you are not sure whether the vro has been set before, we recommend that you perform ResetOperation.

Correct methods for resetting TP-Link wireless routers: When the vro is powered on, hold down the button marked as QSS/RESET on the rear panel for more than 5 seconds. Keep the SYS light under pressure while observing it, when the SYS light changes from a Slow blinking to a fast blinking state, it indicates that the vro has successfully resumed factory settings. At this time, the button is released and the vro will restart.

I. Hardware connection

1. Use a network cable to directly connect the computer to the LAN port of the router. You can also connect the LAN port of the router to a hub or switch in the LAN through a network cable, as shown in.

2. Use a network Cable to connect the WAN port of the router to the xDSL/Cable Modem or Ethernet, as shown in.

3. After the power supply is connected, the vro will start on its own.

  2. establish correct Network Connections

  1. Computer IP Address Settings

Right-click"Network neighbors"Icon, selectAttributeIn theNetwork Connection"Page, right-click"Local Connection", SelectAttributeIn theLocal Connection Property"Page, select"Intelnet Protocol (TCP/IP )"Click properties.Intelnet Protocol (TCP/IP) attributes"Page, select"Automatically obtain IP addressesClickOKYou can. For detailed steps, see fast wireless router settings.

  2. Use the Ping command to test connectivity with the vro

In Windows XP, click Start-run. In the subsequent running window, enter the "cmd" command, press enter, or click OK To Go To The displayed interface.

Enter the command: Ping 192.168.1.1 and press Enter.

If the screen is:

The computer has established a connection with the vro.

If the screen is:

This indicates that the device has not been installed. Check the device in the following order:

  1. Is the hardware connection correct?

The Link/Act indicator corresponding to the LAN port on the router panel and the NIC indicator on the computer must be on.

  2. Is the computer's TCP/IP Settings correct?

If the computer's IP address is the automatic acquisition method described earlier, you do not need to set it. If you set the IP address manually, note that if the IP address of the router is 192.168.1.1, the IP address of the computer must be 192.168.1.X (X is an integer between 2 and 254 ), the subnet mask must be set to 255.255.255.0, and the default gateway must be set to 192.168.1.1.

  3. Fast configuration of TP-Link wireless routers

Open the web browser and enter the IP address 192.168.1.1 of the router in the address bar of the browser. The logon interface is displayed. Enter the username and password (the default username and password are admin). ClickOKButton.

As shown in figureSetting Wizard Page. If this page is not automatically displayed, click the setting wizard menu on the left side of the page to activate it.

Band bandwidth:Set the channel width used for wireless data transmission. Optional values: 20 M, 40 M, and automatic

Maximum sending rate:Sets the maximum transmission rate of the router wireless network.

Disable wireless security:Disable the wireless security function, that is, do not encrypt the wireless network of the router. At this time, other users can join the wireless network.

WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK:If this option is selected, enter the password in the PSK password. The password must be 8-63 ASCII characters or 8-64 hexadecimal characters.

Do not modify the wireless security settings:If this option is selected, the parameter set last time is retained in the wireless security option. If you have never changed the wireless security settingsFactory default settings disable wireless security.

After setting, clickNext stepTo complete the settings wizard, clickRestartMake the wireless settings take effect.

After the restart, the basic settings of the TP-Link wireless router are complete.
