Application background

If you use the account and password provided by the broadband service provider to dial up the internet, after using the vro, you need to set up broadband dial-up Internet access at the WAN port of the vro. The following describes how to set up the vro.

 

According to the home line, broadband can be divided into three access methods: telephone lines, optical fiber cables, and network cables. For details about how to connect a vro in different broadband access modes, refer to the following dynamic diagram:

Note:: The wide strip must be connected to the WAN port of the router, and the computer must connect to any port of 1 \ 2 \ 3 \ 4. Generally, the WAN port color is different from that of the LAN port.

After connecting the line, check whether the corresponding interface indicator is always on or flashing. If the indicator is not on, click the troubleshooting method:

Open IE browser on the desktop, clear the address bar, and enter the domain name on the router management page: tplogin.cn. Press enter to bring up the logon box. The administrator password must be set for the first login interface. This password is required for subsequent logon. As shown in the following figure:

Note:: Many users cannot access the Internet due to incorrect broadband account password. Please carefully check whether the broadband account password is correct and whether the Chinese and English characters, uppercase and lowercase letters, and suffixes are entered completely.

2Set wireless parameters

Note:: A wireless password is used to ensure the security of the wireless network and prevent network access by others.

3, CreateTP-LINK ID

TP-LINK IDIs the management ID used to connect a vro to an ECS instance for online upgrade and application installation. SelectCreate FreeTP-LINK ID. You can also clickSkip.

Create with your mobile phone number or email address, set the corresponding management password, and click OK. As shown in the following figure:

After setting, go to the vro management page and clickNetwork Status, You can see that the Internet shows that the connection is successful, indicating that the setting is successful, as shown in the following figure:

Now, the network connection is successful and the vro has been set up. After a computer connects to a vro, it can directly access the Internet without dialing a broadband connection.

If you have other computers that need to access the Internet, use the network cable to connect the computer to the interface 1 \ 2 \ 3 \ 4 to try accessing the Internet without configuring the router. For wireless terminals such as laptops and mobile phones, connect to the vro and directly access the Internet.

Unable to access the internet after setting

After the vro is set, you cannot access the internet. Click the network status as follows:
