Configuration of tl-wr700n

TL-WR700N factory Defaults to AP mode, support Plug and Play, no configuration can be used. Wired interface connects LAN, wireless client (such as notebook, WiFi handset, etc.) connect on tl-wr700n can connect to LAN. Because the tl-wr700n wireless network does not have wireless security set by default, illegal users can connect at will, it is recommended to make some necessary configuration for tl-wr700n. The specific configuration can follow the steps below.

Step 1: Connect to tl-wr700n. Because tl-wr700n in AP mode by default does not open the DHCP server, can not automatically assign IP address to the computer, so need to configure the computer wireless network connection IP address, in order to log on the router's management interface. Set the computer wireless network connection IP address to 192.168.1.X (1≤x≤252), and the subnet mask is set to: 255.255.255.0, as shown in the following figure. The tl-wr700n default SSID is tp-link_pocketap_419f2e ("419f2e" is the six-bit after tl-wr700n Wireless MAC address), and wireless security is not set. Step 3: Click "Next" to start setting up the Working Mode Settings page, as shown in the following figure.

Step 4: Select "AP" and click "Next" to eject the wireless Settings page as shown in the following image.

In the page shown above, you can set the SSID of the tl-wr700n (that is, the wireless network name). In order to prevent illegal users from rubbing the net, it is recommended to set up wireless security, recommended select "Wpa-psk/wpa2-psk" and set the PSK password (this example is ABCDEFGH).

Step 5: Click "Next" to indicate that the device needs to be restarted, as shown in the following figure.

Click "Reboot", the router automatically restarts, Setup is complete.

Step 6: Reboot completes, at this time tl-wr700n wireless network has set wireless security, the computer's wireless network connection will automatically disconnect, need to reconnect tl-wr700n wireless network (in this case the SSID is tp-link_pocketap_419f2e), You need to enter a tl-wr700n wireless PSK password (in this case, ABCDEFGH) during the connection process, as shown in the following image.

Step 7: After the configuration is complete, please reset the wireless network connection IP address to the original configuration (usually automatically obtain the IP address), click "OK" to be effective to connect to the Internet normally, as shown in the following figure.
