Application introduction
A simulated AP is also called a SoftAP. After the analog AP function of the wireless network card is enabled on a computer that can access the Internet, the wireless network card can convert the network of the computer into a Wi-Fi wireless signal, connect your mobile phone, tablet, and other terminals to the Internet.
This article describes how to set up the analog AP of TL-WN826N and the solutions to common problems.

Tip:Before setting, you must know which method the computer with the network card is used to access the Internet, such as broadband dialing, wireless Internet access, or local connection (automatically obtaining IP addresses).

Insert the NIC into the computer
Use the data cable that comes with the network adapter to connect the wireless network adapter to the USB interface of the computer, and ensure that the wireless network adapter can be used normally (such as the connection signal ).

Install the wireless Nic client program
The analog AP needs to enable the settings through the client software dedicated to the TP-LINK wireless network card, many users have installed the client when installing the network card, directly open it. If you have not installed the software, place the optical disc carried by the NIC in the optical drive of your computer to install the client program, or go to our official website
Service Support CenterDownload the corresponding driver. The compressed package contains the relevant client software.
After the installation is complete, open the TP-LINK wireless Nic client program:

Enable simulation on the client

After the client program is opened, enable the simulated AP as shown in the following figure:
Note:For some client programs of earlier versions

The system prompts "Please check and disconnect the point-to-point network, or restart the NIC". What should I do?
When this error is prompted, try to delete the ad-hoc configuration file in the configuration file. After the deletion is complete, disable and enable the wireless network card and set up the simulated AP again. As follows:
Note:: If the point-to-point network is not configured for the wireless network adapter, but the system still requires that the point-to-point network be disconnected when the analog AP is configured, check whether the client software such as 360 portable WiFi is installed on the operating computer, we recommend that you uninstall the software and then try to set up the simulated AP function.
