When upgrading a vro using TFTP or browsing, the upgrade fails. The error code 18000 is displayed, as shown below:

, According to the standard process
The standard procedure for TFTP upgrade is: download the upgrade software-> decompress the upgrade software-> log on to the vro interface-> run tftp32.exe in the upgrade software-> click the upgrade button on the management interface.

Decompress the downloaded update package
Check that the downloaded update program has been decompressed and you cannot directly open the tftp32.exe program in the compressed package. As shown in the following figure:
Note:If you cannot decompress the package, download and install the WinRAR or WinZip decompression tool.

Run the program as an administrator
For operating systems such as Vista, Windows 7/8, 8.1, and 10, we recommend that you do not double-click the TFTP server, but right-click the server and select "run as administrator", as shown in the following figure:

Disable computer firewall and anti-virus software
Try to disable or exit anti-virus software on your computer and disable the firewall that comes with Windows. For how to disable the firewall in each operating system, click the reference document: how to disable the built-in firewall in Windows?

Verify file name
The file name on the upgrade page is the same as that in the extracted folder, as shown in the following figure:
Note:If the file name is different, the downloaded file (software and hardware version) is incorrect. Please download it again.

, Used the wrong upgrade program
You can only upgrade the software of the same version of the same model. Different software and hardware versions cannot be used. The model and hardware version can be found at the bottom of the router, as shown in the figure below:

The current software version cannot be downgraded back to a lower version.
Some routers cannot be downgraded back to the lower version under the current software version. We recommend that you use the updated software for upgrade. As shown in the following figure:

After upgrading to this version, you cannot upgrade back to the previous software version.If the vro is in version 121024, if you use a lower version of the software for upgrade, the system will prompt that the upgrade is unsuccessful.
