It is often necessary to upload and download files between Windows and Linux. The use of FTP tools to work sometimes feel more trouble, cut to cut the very inconvenient, if you can directly in the terminal to upload and download the good. In fact, there are such schemes, that is, the use of Zmodem.
First, you need to install the RZ and SZ two tools on a Linux server, which can be used directly after the installation is complete. I did not introduce the process, my previous post recorded. Unclear students please visit the Linux installation RZ and SZ and use.
Rz,sz is the command-line tool that Linux/unix Zmodem file transfer with Windows.
Then, the Windows side needs to support Zmodem's TELNET/SSH client, and the usual choice is securecrt. With SECURECRT login to the Unix/linux host (telnet or SSH), you can transfer files in the terminal.
Run the command RZ, that is, receive files, will pop up the file selection dialog box, select the file and close the dialog box, the file will be uploaded to the current directory in Linux.
To run the command SZ file is to send files to Windows (the saved directory can be configured), more convenient than the FTP command, and the server does not have to open the FTP service.
Note that not all of the SSH client tools support Zmodem, such as the famous putty do not support, I have encountered a very silent two days, the company's computer normal, at home when the SECURECRT directly connected to the remote cloud server normal, But even the VPN of the springboard machine always crashes, people are very crazy, can not solve, try some FTP tools can not cross the springboard machine. Finally had to search directly online Zmodem ssh tools, or find a software Xshell, and securecrt function almost. Initial experience, and the use of SECURECRT is similar, will soon be able to get started. You can use the two software together later.
