Not all PS/2 mouse can be changed to a USB mouse, you can change the characteristics of the PS/2 mouse:

A. early PS/2 Mouse board generally with two integrated circuits, (a photoelectric sensor, a key or USB protocol conversion, and a 24M crystal oscillator (hereinafter referred to as: Crystal oscillator)
