[Translated from mos] nodes are not displayed in the "Cluster Node Information" or "Specify Cluster Configuration" window on aix and the add button is gray. nodecluster
Nodes are not displayed in the "Cluster Node Information" or "Specify Cluster Configuration" window on aix and the add button is gray.
Source:
Applicable:
Oracle Server-Enterprise Edition-Version: 10.2.0.1 and later [Release: 10.2 and later]
Ibm aix on POWER Systems (64-bit)
Symptoms:
Install Oracle Clusterware (CRS or 11gR2 Grid Infrastructure). The "Cluster Node Information" or "Specify Cluster Configuration" window does not display any nodes, and the add button is gray.
The Installation Log is as follows:
[main] [10:21:20:345] [sQueryCluster.isCluster:74] LKMGR file =/usr/sbin/cluster/utilities/cldomain[main] [10:21:20:346] [QueryCluster.<init>:49] Detected Cluster[main] [10:21:20:346] [QueryCluster.isCluster:65] Cluster existence check = true
Add:
For the installation log Location, see the following article Location Of Logs For OPatch And OUI (Document ID 403212.1)
Cause:
The reason is that the ibm hacmp (or PowerHA) program was not removed clean (cleanly) when it was uninstalled. When HACMP was uninstalled (deinstalled), the ls command can still see the HACMP command:
$ ls -l /usr/sbin/cluster/utilities/cldomain lrwxrwxrwx 1 root system 29 Sep 21 13:54 /usr/sbin/cluster/utilities/cldomain -> /opt/VRTSvcs/rac/bin/cldomain
Oracle OUI depends on/usr/sbin/cluster/utilities/cldomain to check whether the vendor Clusterware exists. If yes, Oracle OUI will be installed above HACMP and get the node list from HACMP.
In this case, because HACMP is detected, OUI will not allow users to manually input node information. However, because HACMP is deinstalled, HACMP does not have any node member information.
Solution:
The solution is to remove/usr/sbin/cluster/utilities/cldomain from all nodes and restart OUI.
