This page includes a simple bonobo Git service installation. Review the system Requirements page before you install and view the document pages.
The following steps covers a installation with Windows Server and IIS 7. They is exactly the same for any higher platforms (Windows Server and IIS 8.0+).
The next steps cover installing the Bonobo Git service on Windows 2008 and IIS 7. The same is true on higher platforms (Windows Server 2012 and IIS 8.0 and above).
- Download the latest version of Bonobo Git Server from the front page
Download the latest version of the Bonobo Git service from the home page
- Extract the files from the installation archive to
C:\inetpub\wwwroot
Unzip the tarball to "C:\inetpub\wwwroot"
- Allow the IIS User to modify
C:\inetpub\wwwroot\Bonobo.Git.Server\App_Data
folder. To doing so (allows IIS users to modify the "C:\inetpub\wwwroot\Bonobo.Git.Server\App_Data" folder.) The procedure is as follows:)
- Select Properties of App_Data folder (right-click the "App_Data" folder, select "Attributes"),
- Go to Security tab (switch to the "Security" tab),
- Click the Edit button,
- Select IIS User (in my case Iis_iusrs) and add Modify and Write permission (select "Iis_iusrs" and give "modify" and "write" permissions),
- Confirm these settings with Apply button (click "Apply" to confirm these settings).
If you do not have the user, please add the user first, as follows:
- Convert Bonobo.Git.Server to application in IIS (converting Bonobo.Git.Server to application in IIS)
- Run IIS Manager and navigate to Sites, Default Web Site. You should see Bonobo.Git.Server (open IIS and navigate to the default Web site.) You will see "Bnobo.Git.Server").
- Right-click on Bonobo Git Server and convert to Application (in "Bnobo.Git.Server" and select "Convert to Application").
- Check if the selected application pool runs on. NET 4.0 and convert the site (checks if the selected app pool is running on. NET 4.0, and if not, switch to. NET 4.0).
- Configure Authentication (configuring authentication)
Enable Anonymous Authentication in IIS and disable the others. To doing so, select the application, click on the authentication icon and set the value to of Anonymous authentication to Ena Bled. The configuration should look like the following screenshot.
Enable anonymous authentication in IIS and disable other worth verification. To do this, select the "Bonobo.Git.Server" app, click on the "Authentication" icon and set "Anonymous Authentication" to Enabled. The final configuration should be the same as the following snapshot:
- Launch your browser and go to Http://localhost/Bonobo.Git.Server. Now the can sees the initial page of Bonobo Git Server and everything is working (open browser and browse "Http://localhost/Bonobo.Git.Serve R ". Now you can see the start page of the bonobo git service and all the work that is running.
- Default credentials is Username:admin Password:admin (certificate is User name: admin, Password: admin)
The authentication and membership service functions has been split up to separate configurable modules in the latest VE Rsion of Bonobo Git Server. By default, it's configured to use Cookie authentication and the Internal membership Service. Please follow the different methods using the following sites.
In the latest version of the bonobo git service, the authentication and membership service features are separated into separate configuration modules.
