[Original address] ASP. net mvc V2 preview 1 released
[Original article publication date] July 30,200 9
Four and a half months after ASP. net mvc 1.0 was released by our team, I am very happy to announce that the first preview of ASP. NET MVC 2 can be downloaded now. Download it now and love it. Don't be afraid to install it just as it will be closely linked with ASP. net mvc 1.0.
The version comment provides more details about the content contained in this release. I have updated roadmap on codeplex to describe our work in preview2 and later.
Publish ASP. net MVC 1.0, my team and I worked hard to invest in ASP. net 4, which is a good conversion. For me personally, when I get this job to do different things for a while, and it makes some ideas penetrate ASP. net MVC 2.
But now I am very happy to return to ASP. NET MVC. As mentioned in roadmap and elsewhere, ASP. net mvc 2.0 runs on ASP. NET 3.5 SP1 and ASP. NET 4. We bundled ASP. Net mvc2.0 to Visual Studio 2010 and made an independent installation for Visual Studio 2008 SP1. You can download and install it.
Templated Helpers
In preview 1, one of my favorite new additions is templated helpers. you can watch a short channel 9 video of the templated helpers impromptu demo last minute that Scott hanselman shot to me.
Templated helpers allows you to automatically set the template for editing and display value based on the data type. For example, a date selection user element can be automatically submitted when any system. datetime type data is used.
If you are familiar with the field templates of ASP. NET Dynamic Data, this is very similar to that, but it is for ASP. net mvc.
For more information about helpers, see the pre-release document for the step-by-step explanation of the use of Templated Helpers (thourgh of using Templated Helpers.
We also include support for regions (Areas) and Data descriptions (Data Annotations), along with bug fixes and minor (minor) API improvements. All content is described in detail in the version notes.
Team
I have to say that I really like to be part of a team. I feel very good at working together and proud of what they do. Some of them already have blogs, such as Eilon (rarely updated) and Brad Wilson. quality assurance (QA) Guys recently started podcast ). But other people (Levi, watching me) really need to start a blog. Good job, everybody!

Note:: The official name of this product version is ASP. net mvc 2, rather than ASP. net mvc 2.0, which may be desired by some people. This may be part of the new marketing plan to remove the points in the product name. I guess they didn't read my Law of Demeter column to understand that it's not about reducing points.
