LAN communication is completed through the "Hub" of the NIC. Therefore, the health status of the NIC directly affects the performance of the LAN network. This is not the case. When we carefully summarize a lot of lan network faults, we find that many faults are "disastrous" For nic devices. However, we often have no choice in troubleshooting network faults, as a result, the LAN operation efficiency is reduced. In order to completely say goodbye to network faults, this article is now starting from "Treating" the network card device, let it do its best to do a good job of network communication, and ultimately achieve the purpose of effectively improving the stability of lan network operation!
1. Do not let the NIC device be "distracted"
The online world is wonderful. Not only can we leave the network, but even some applications cannot leave the network at 01:15. This is not the case. If some applications need to be successfully installed on the local computer system, they need support from the NIC device. Without the support from the NIC device, these applications cannot stay on the local system hard disk; as a last resort, we often need to bind too many applications to the only NIC device. In this case, can the NIC device do its best to perform network communication, can LAN communication work normally for a long time? The answer is no! This is because even our people cannot do their jobs well when they are both in one mind. What's more, the NIC is in the "distracted" status! In order not to let network faults occur, we 'd better not let the NIC device be "distracted". To do this, we 'd better not install too many applications that depend on the NIC device in the local system; however, the fact is that some applications have to be used at ordinary times. The only thing we can do is to install another Nic device for dedicated card use. However, if you just want to run an application and spend money to buy a new Nic device, it is obviously impossible, this article recommends that you install a virtual Nic device in your local system so that the specified application can be bound to the virtual Nic device in the future, by allowing the real Nic devices to process network communication with one mind, they can achieve the best of both worlds.
When you bind a specified application to the virtual network card "body", you must first install the virtual network card device in the local system. The installation steps are as follows:
First, click the "Start" button on the local system desktop, and click "Settings" and "Control Panel" commands from the "Start" menu to open the control panel window of the corresponding system, double-click the "add Hardware" icon in the window to open the "add Hardware" Wizard setting window. Select "yes" according to the wizard prompt on the screen, I have connected to this hardware and the "Add new hardware device" option;
In the wizard window, a prompt is displayed asking which type of hardware devices we want to install. You can select the "Network Adapter" option in the hardware list to enter the wizard Setting Dialog Box shown in 1; in the left-side list area of the Setting dialog box, select the "Microsoft" project, and select the "Microsoft Loopback Adapter" project in the right-side list area of the "Microsoft" project, follow the on-screen prompts to install the driver of the virtual Nic device.

Figure 1
After the driver program of the virtual Nic device is installed, restart the local system. When the network connection List window of the corresponding system is opened, a local connection icon is displayed, this indicates that the previously installed virtual Nic device has taken effect. Next, we will install the specified application in the local system, and then bind the application settings to the virtual Nic device, so that the application can be installed successfully, at the same time, the real Nic device will not be "distracted!
2. Prevent the NIC device from "sleeping"
Most of the time, the computer system can access the Internet normally. However, when the computer system is switched to sleep, the computer system will start to experience a network failure that cannot access the Internet, even if you wake up the computer system from sleep, the network failure that cannot be accessed by the Internet will not disappear. Why, what measures should we take to avoid this network fault?
In fact, this kind of network failure is caused by the network card device sleeping along with the computer system. It turns out that by default, when the computer system is sleeping, the NIC device in the corresponding system will also temporarily shut down its power supply to save the power supply of the system, in this way, the connection established through the NIC device will be automatically disconnected due to the power failure of the NIC device. However, when we wake up a local computer system in sleep state, however, the NIC device cannot "wake up" along with the system. At this time, the Internet connection created through the NIC device still cannot work normally. Obviously, the "Sleep" event of the NIC device is easy to delay. In order to effectively avoid the occurrence of a fault that cannot access the Internet, we should try to prevent the NIC device from "sleeping" along with the system. After all, the NIC device will not consume much power at all times, the following describes how to prevent the NIC device from "sleeping:
First, click the "Start" button on the local system desktop, and click "Settings" and "Control Panel" commands from the "Start" menu to open the control panel window of the corresponding system, double-click the System icon to open the system Property setting interface;
Click the hardware tab on the property settings page. On the hardware options page that appears, click the Device Manager button to open the Device Manager window of the local system, expand the "Network Adapter" branch option, click the NIC device corresponding to the dial-up network connection under the target branch option, and right-click the NIC device, from the shortcut menu that appears, run the "properties" command to open the properties Setting dialog box for the NIC device;
Click the "power management" tab in the "Property Settings" dialog box to go to the "power management option settings" page, as shown in figure 2; check whether the "allow computer to disable this device to save power" option is selected on the settings page. If this option is found to be selected, this means that the NIC device will sleep along with the computer system. At this time, we should cancel the selected status of this option to prevent the NIC device from sleep along with the computer system ", finally, click "OK" to save the above settings. In this way, the NIC device will not "go to bed" in the future and will always be on standby, in this way, there will be no network faults that cannot access the Internet.

3. Prevent Nic drivers from getting into trouble"
Many friends sometimes encounter such a strange network fault, that is, every time they log on to the system desktop, there will always be a prompt message to reinstall the NIC driver; even if you reinstall the NIC driver as prompted, the computer system still has unstable Internet access and frequent disconnection. When encountering such a network failure, it is likely that the NIC Driver is unstable. For example, if the NIC driver cannot be initialized after the computer system restarts, the network connection may not work properly after the system restarts. To prevent the NIC Driver from getting into trouble, we should try to use the original driver when selecting the NIC Driver. If there is no original NIC driver around, you can try to download the appropriate driver from the official website of the corresponding Nic brand, and make sure that the driver downloaded from the internet is applicable to the NIC device of the specified model.
Some friends also like to constantly update the driver of the NIC device. They think that the higher the NIC Driver version, the more stable the network adapter works, and the more powerful the NIC functions, in fact, the latest NIC Driver from the Internet network is not necessarily the most stable. Many times there are many bugs in the latest version of the program. If you install and use the latest NIC driver at will, the performance of the NIC device may decrease, resulting in unstable Internet access. For example, if we install the latest NIC Driver in Windows Vista, the NIC device may not work properly, because Windows Vista has high requirements on Device Drivers installed in it, and some Nic drivers without digital signature authentication, Windows Vista cannot be well compatible with it. Once we see that after the driver of the NIC device is updated, the Windows Vista system cannot access the Internet normally or the system is unstable, we can almost identify that there is a problem with the new NIC Driver. At this time, we only need to uninstall the new NIC Driver from the system, and then re-install the original NIC Driver, in order to make the Windows Vista system's Internet connection back to normal.
Of course, in Windows Vista, we can use the rollback driver function to quickly restore the network connection status after the NIC driver update operation fails; when restoring the network status, you can first right-click the "computer" icon on the Windows Vista system desktop and click the "properties" command from the shortcut menu that appears, click system and maintenance and Device Manager one by one on the subsequent page To Go To The Device Manager interface of Windows Vista;
Next, click the "Network Adapter" option on the Device Manager interface, right-click the target Nic device under the node option, and right-click the "properties" command in the menu, open the properties Settings dialog box for the NIC device, click the drivers tab to open the driver Options settings page, as shown in 3, click the "rollback driver" button on the settings page, so that the network connection status of Windows Vista can be quickly restored to normal.

Figure 3
If there is still a fault in the network connection of the computer system when the NIC Driver is quickly restored to its normal status, let's take a look at other details, for example, check whether the crystal head at both ends of the network communication cable has been clamped, whether the connection status of the twisted pair is normal, and whether there is a network virus in the local computer system, whether the corresponding operating system has system vulnerabilities or whether the operating system installed on the local computer is a clone version. If there are other computers on the LAN simultaneously accessing the internet, in this case, we must also check whether users secretly use the BT tool for illegal download in the event of a network failure. If all the above factors have been investigated, then we can determine that the problem lies with the local ISP. At this time, we can consult the local ISP and ask them to help solve the network fault.
4. Prevent the NIC capability from being "buried"
Now many Wan and even LAN are using Gigabit NICs, but when a gigabit Nic device is connected to a WAN or LAN Gigabit Switch through a twisted pair cable, we often see that after the connection, the gigabit network adapter actually only plays a hundred megabytes of work capability, and cannot truly exert its own gigabit-level transmission capability, what is this? How can we correctly connect to a gigabit network card so that its working ability is not "buried?
Normally, when we correctly connect a gigabit Nic to a LAN, we often can clearly see the actual transmission speed of gigabit Nic devices in the Network Connection Control icon at the bottom right of the system taskbar. If we can see that the actual transmission speed of NIC devices is only MB, it means that the gigabit network adapter's transmission capability has not been fully utilized. There are two main reasons for the network adapter's working ability to be "buried": on the one hand, the network communication cable connecting to a gigabit Nic does not comply with the specifications, on the other hand, the network communication cable we use does not support Gigabit transmission performance.
