Using Linux virtual machines in VMware (NAT mode) today to discover that there is no network, the NIC shows "eternal cannot connect to the virtual network VMnet8", check that the VMware NAT Service services of the host are not started, manually start the pop-up error Prompt " 1067: Service failed to start, dependent on package group ".
Because of the system that just upgraded the host yesterday, guessing that some of the service's dependencies might have been compromised for some reason, but did not want to reload VMware, there was a way to find out:
Open the Virtual network editor for VMware and select "Restore Defaults", at which point it will automatically remove all VMware network services and virtual network cards and reinstall, and if the VMware NAT service disappears after the operation is done, it should be possible to resolve the issue.
The remaining problem is that Nat's subnet IP and DHCP settings change after you reload the NAT service, as long as you set it again.
