Troubleshoot problems with SQL SERVER 2005 that cannot connect remotely

Problem

Using SQL Server Management Studio cannot connect to the remote server, prompting the following error:

Use Telnet to connect port 1433, report connection failed, should be network management sealed 1433 port.

Solve

Use other available ports by

1. Open SQL Server Configuration Manager on the server. Select the protocol->TCP/IP for SQL Server Configuration Manager->sql Server 2005 Network configuration->mssqlserver, select the IP address->ipall->tcp port in the pop-up dialog box, and set it to an available port.

2. In the same program, select SQL Server Configuration Manager->sql Server 2005 Service->sql Server (MSSQLSERVER) and select Reboot in the right-click menu.

3, in the Client login box server name input: IP, port

4, the connection is successful.
