2. Install the TSM Client
- Install all file sets in the folder
- Modify the TSM client. profile file
Export dsm_dir =/usr/Tivoli/TSM/client/BA/bin
Export dsm_config =/usr/Tivoli/TSM/client/BA/bin/DSM. Opt
Export dsm_log =/usr/Tivoli/TSM/client/BA/bin
- Modify the DSM. Opt and DSM. sys files of the TSM Client
These two files are under/usr/Tivoli/TSM/client/BA/bin. If you do not have these two files, you can set DSM. Opt. SMP and
Copy DSM. SYS. Opt.
Specify the TSM server in the DSM. Opt file:
Servername TSM # indicates the name of the TSM server.
Add the following content to the DSM. SYS file:
Servername TSM
Commmethod TCPIP
Tcpport 1500
Tcpserveraddress 127.0.0.1
Nodename Client
Passwordaccess generate
Managedservices WebClient schedule
Schedmode prompted
- Start TSM Client
#/Usr/Tivoli/TSM/client/BA/bin/dsmcad
If you want to set it to automatic start, you can add it in the/etc/inittab:
Tsmcad: Once:/usr/bin/dsmcad>/dev/null 2> & 1 # TSM Client Acceptor Daemon
- Stop Client
Find the dsmcad process ID, kill
- Verify installation:
Dsmadmc
Enter the account password admin/admin to go To the TSM console.
- On the TSM console, register a license: TSM>
