Open AI software, create a new document, 800px*600px. Because it is a vector graphic, it can be arbitrarily sized.

Using the Ellipse tool, draw a 80px*80px circle. With the Ellipse tool selected, you can double-click on the brush to eject the Ellipse Tool dialog box, set the height and width to the corresponding number, and click OK. Then turn this circle, hold down the ALT key, copy 7 copies, and arrange the shapes.

Using the Scissors tool, first cut off the round part of the curved edge. The scissors tool is very simple to use, select the appropriate path, click on the ends of the curved edges to be clipped, then select the curved edge and delete.

Using the Pen tool, add some paths to some of these sections on the existing circular path, making the circle more inclined to the letter shape.

Four, the fine repair

Perhaps the arrangement is not special enough, so let's try to keep these letters tight and make them feel crowded. Even some can cross each other and create a state of interweaving. Select the appropriate letter, and then use the left and right keyboard keys to control its movement, the process, may encounter the letter of the stacking order between the parts will also be inconsistent, it does not matter. In the overlay, I'll use the scissors tool to trim off the extra parts, and you can refer to my approach.

Once the position has been determined, we select the entire graph and go to Objects > extensions to change our strokes to fill.

At this point, I want to change the two-letter (yellow-green) color to a gradient fill. At this point, you will find that because this part has been broken down into a lot of small parts, the stacking order is not the same, if they are grouped directly, the stacking order becomes consistent, and the stacking order changes will make our graphics change. But if you don't group, it's very difficult to add a gradient fill to the graph.

Here, I offer my solution, of course, your approach or more ingenious. After I have selected the entire graph, use CTRL+SHIFT+F9 to bring up the path finder, click "Split", that is, the small icon on the left. In this way, I will be torn apart, in the part where we want to add the gradient, will be stacked to the bottom of the obscured part of the discard, will see the partial selection, then group, the group after the graph, click on the Path Finder in the merge (that is, the bottom row left to start the third small icon). This way, adding a gradient fill is a cinch.

To add a gradient fill, we go to the appearance panel. Add a new fill to the panel and select the gradient swatch.

We use the direct selection tool to modify the imperfections in the edges of the graphic. You can then use the Pathfinder to trim the entire shape and then merge, and the contour of the shape will become smooth.

Then make a little shading on the part of the graph. Select the part of the shape that you want to add a shadow to, and then copy it. Go to "Effects > Blur > Gaussian Blur" and the blur parameter here I set is 3.5, depending on the size of the graph the values will vary. After blurring, place the shadow below the shape.

The other part I did, but since I've just merged this graphic, I can copy it here and use a rectangle to trim the original shape. Let it keep only the shadow part. After the shadow is done, you can change the opacity or shape, rotate it slightly, etc.
