In three steps:
1.wireshark Installation
Wireshark running on a system that requires a Mac to install X11,mac 10.8 is not X11 by default. First go to http://xquartz.macosforge.org/landing/download the latest Xquartz installation, installation is X11.
Wireshark download, there are many download sources online. The official website tried several times, did not open into. You can consider going to the Chinese army and other websites to download.
2. Open the network card to allow Wireshark access
After installing Xquartz and Wireshark, you need to open the network card to allow Wireshark access. The command to open the NIC is sudo chmod 777/dev/bpf*.
After each boot, execute once. If you feel you need to enter your own password to perform this command, consider writing a shell script that reads:
$!/bin/bash
echo "YourPassword" | Sudo-s chmod 777/dev/bpf*
3. Start the Wireshark and monitor on-demand.
