Turn your apple into a "cat": computers use the iPhone to access the Internet

Lead: If you think your iPhone can only be used to browse Web pages on your mobile phone, it will be a waste. In fact, it provides ubiquitous access capabilities and can also help your computer access the Internet at any time. Turn this big apple into your little "cat!

If you have an iPhone that can access the Internet, in addition to surfing the Internet with the iPhone, you can also turn the iPhone into a cat and share the Internet with your computer, the method is to connect to the iPhone using USB, Bluetooth, or Wi-Fi, and enable the built-in Internet sharing Function of the iPhone so that the computer can access the Internet through the iPhone, the Internet sharing function is available only in OS 3.0 and later versions. Therefore, you must upgrade the IOS version of the iPhone to version 3.0 or later to share the Internet. The following describes the procedure.

1. Shared Internet access via USB

You can use the original iPhone (without jailbreak) to connect your computer to the Internet in this way. As long as you start iTunes on your computer and connect your iPhone to your computer with a USB cable, in iTunes, if the iPhone is connected and the sharing switch is enabled, the computer will be able to access the Internet through the 3G network of the iPhone. If the sharing is enabled, a Red Cross network connection will appear on the PC taskbar, it indicates that iTunes is not enabled and should be started. After the network connection is OK and you can access the Internet, iTunes can be disabled!

Step 01 start the iTunes software on the PC, connect the PC to the iPhone with a USB cable, and then return to the iPhone after the iPhone is connected to iTunes;

Step 02 start safari on the iPhone and open the http://help.benm.at/help.php network. scroll down to tethering & Internet Settings and click the 2nd mobileconfigs under tethering & Internet Settings → "the generator is now active !" (Figure 1 );

Step 03 enter the APN and other data on the page (figure 2). China Unicom APN is uninet, China Mobile APN is cmnet, username and password are left blank, enable tethering is changed to on, and click "generate!" Generate downloads and install them automatically;

Step 04 will pop out of the window to confirm, and then go to the settings (settings) of the iPhone-> General (General)-> network (network), and find an "Internet tethering (network sharing)" exists) "Project (figure 3 );

Step 05 enable Internet tethering, set it to on, and then connect the computer with USB or Bluetooth (Figure 4). Select USB connection here. We recommend charging the iPhone while surfing the Internet, do not worry about power issues. The driver will be automatically installed after the USB is inserted into the computer.ProgramAfter installation, a new network connection will automatically appear;

Step 06 now the Apple computer can automatically connect to the Internet. For Windows PC, you need to configure the iPhone connection in the control panel. Then, a blue bar appears on the upper part of the iPhone homepage (figure 5), indicating that the network sharing is successful, so we can surf the PC through the mobile phone traffic.

Note: If the "Internet tethering (network sharing)" option is not available after the mobile phone card of China Mobile is inserted in the iPhone, activate it with the UNICOM card. We recommend that you use the 186 phone number for the iPhone, otherwise, the iPhone is only a phone number and many functions cannot be used!

 

2. Computers share the Internet via Bluetooth

This is a wireless Internet sharing method. A computer uses Bluetooth to connect to the iPhone and then shares the iPhone's 3G network to access the Internet. However, in this way, you need to install a Bluetooth adapter on your computer, then, perform the following operations:

Step 01 first, click "Settings"> "general"> "Bluetooth" (figure 6) on the iPhone, set the Bluetooth button to "on" to enable the Bluetooth function, and connect the iPhone to the PC through Bluetooth;

Step 02 go to Settings> General> network on the iPhone and open the Internet tethering project;

Step 03 enable the "Network Sharing" button on "enable network sharing", and then connect to the computer using USB or Bluetooth (figure 7 ), select "Bluetooth" to connect to the PC, and then pairing the PC with the iPhone. Then, press "receive" on the iPhone and enterCodeOn the homepage, a blue Internet sharing icon is displayed at the top of the iPhone, indicating that the PC can now access the Internet through the iPhone!

 

3. Shared Internet access through a computer through Wi-Fi

As long as you run mywi software on the iPhone, the iPhone will become a wireless router or Wi-Fi hotspot, so that the computer connects to the iPhone through WiFi, you can access the Internet through the 3G network of the iPhone, this method consumes a lot of power on the Internet. We recommend that you use it when the iPhone is fully powered or powered.

1. Install mywi software on the iPhone

Step 01 first go to cydia to download and install rockapp, my3g, and mywi crack. Open cydia in iPhone, select Manage → sources → edit → add, enter http://elpelle6.com/repo (figure 9), click Add source to add elpelle6 source, search and install mywi 4.4.4 (no rock). My 3G 4.2.5 (no rock) will be automatically installed at the same time, and then automatically restarted. do not enable mywi or my3g after restart;

Step 02 open cydia and enter elpelle6 source, search for and install rockapp, open rockapp, enter your email address and password to apply for a free trial account, register a new rock ID, and log on to rock, you can also directly register rock ID from the computer to the https://www.rockyourphone.com/index.php/customer/account/create/, and finally exit rockapp;

Step 03 click the mywi 4.0 icon on the desktop to automatically download a preview licence and then restart it. Now you can remove (romove) mywi from cydia;

Step 04 next, install and crack cydia. Open cydia and go to the elpelle6 source. Search for mywi (figure 10) and choose to install native mywi 4.5.1 (no rock). The version may be different but must be from modmyi, search and install rock Extentions (elpelle6) in elpelle6 sources );

Step 05 enable cydia to unmount rockapp (elpelle6). Note that you must uninstall the rock app. Otherwise, mywi cannot be enabled normally. Exit cydia and restart cydia (or it may take two times). Then mywi can be used.

2. Start mywi to create a Wi-Fi hotspot

Step 01 enable the mywi software on the iPhone. On the settings page (figure 11), enter the WiFi shared password and other data, for example, enter the name and password to be displayed for the wireless network, it must be 10 English letters or numbers;

Step 02 enable the "WiFi tethering" switch in mywi to enable this function. Then, the blue message is displayed on the top of the iPhone, indicating that the sharing is successful (Figure 12). Now, whether the computer is PC or Mac, you can find this wireless network. No matter where you are, you can make your computer share the iPhone network.

 

4. How to enable the blocked "network sharing" function?

The "Internet sharing" function described above is not supported by all mobile phone cards. If your iPhone is in settings → General → Network) the "Internet tethering (network sharing)" project does not exist, indicating that your carrier has not signed a contract with Apple and the network sharing is blocked, for example, if China Unicom's mobile phone card is directly inserted into the iPhone, there will be "Internet tethering (network sharing)", but the mobile card will only be cracked.
