Tutorial: Configure wireless connection in Linux

The Linux operating system is favored by many computer enthusiasts for its advantages of development code, free code, and high compatibility. More and more people are using Linux. In the Fedora/Linux operating system, the methods and steps for configuring wireless connections are basically the same as those for configuring Ethernet connections. The difference is that the wireless network adds the SSID and key configurations.

Follow these steps to establish an xDSL dial-up connection for the Fedora/Linux operating system:

1. Open the "Network Configuration" tool (system-> Management-> network)

2. Select the "device" Panel and click "new"

3. In the new window that appears, select "wireless connection" and click "forward"

4. Select your wireless network card from the new wireless network card list. If not, select "other wireless network cards" and click "forward"

The configured network adapters will appear in the above list of devices. For wireless network adapters that are not detected, cannot be configured, and subsequently added, you can select "other wireless network adapters" to configure the wireless connection.

5. if you select "Other Ethernet cards" in the previous step, the "select Ethernet Adapter" window appears, from which you can select your wireless network card model, and allocate it to the specified device (eth0 indicates the first Nic, eth1 indicates the second Nic, and so on), and then click forward"

6. In the "Configure wireless connection window", complete the Configuration Based on the implementation conditions, and then click "Forward"

7. In Linux, in the "configure network settings" window, configure the IP address and DNS for the network interface according to the actual situation, and click "forward"

8. On the "Create wireless connection" page, click "application"

9. The newly added network connection will appear in the device list of the "Network Configuration" tool. Click "file-> Save" to create the connection.

After the network connection is added, the connection will appear in the device list. Select a connection from the device list and click "edit" to open the connection Configuration window.

◆ Tip: For ease of use, you can select "Activate device when the computer starts" in the connection Configuration window and click "OK ", in this way, you do not need to activate a device after each computer is started.
