Install win7codecs (recommended for Windows 7)

Before installation, Uninstall all other similar decoder types (such as perfect decoding, decoder decoding, and K-lite mega! Download win7codecs. The installation process is simple. After installation, run the setting configuration of shark007 as an administrator and check shark007 suggested settings,

What should I do if win7codecs is not installed on Windows 7, such as K-lite mega codec? The latest K-lite mega codec version already comes with the win7dsfiltertweraker tool,

 

After running, you can set the priority of the decoder. The common problem is that MP4 is not voiced on win7, mainly because ffdshow is not used for the AAC decoder. We can use win7dsfiltertweraker to set it correctly,

For other decoders such as perfect decoding and decoder decoding settings, refer to the following description. However, it is recommended that Windows 7 users install win7codecs or K-lite mega codec.

 

Solution 1: Install K-lite mega codec pack (Recommended installation for XP users)

First, download and install the K-lite mega codec pack. I recommend this tool and do not need to set it. The default decoding method is Haali + ffdshow, which has good compatibility, decoding is not easy. For installation, click Next to install it by default.

 

Solution 2. Install Decoder

First download and install the SDK. After installation, Run "decoding setting Center ":

Select the "encoding mode" for the decoding mode. It doesn't matter if you don't understand the other methods. If you have any problems, study them again. Common problems are:The ffdshow audio decoder has better compatibility than ac3filter, And the Haali splitter has better compatibility than gabest.. K-lite mega codec of solution 1, which is not very familiar with the ultimate solution.

 

Solution 3: Install perfect Decoding

First download and install the SDK, and then run "Perfect decoding settings Center ":

The perfect decoding is a bit similar to the decoder decoding setting. The decoding mode is "video encoding". It doesn't matter which of the following separators and decoder are unclear. The splitter is better compatible with gabest for decoding, gabest provides better performance for playback. If you are not familiar with these decoders, we recommend K-lite mega codec of installation solution 1.

 

Solution 4: Install the decoder separately

Ffdshow + Haali is common. Ffdshow is used for decoding and Haali is used for separation. These two combinations can basically solve various formats. If you want to decode the rmvb format, you must install a real component, real alternative. Install QuickTime alternative in mov format. Separate installation requires the installation of a decoder, which is easier than the above integration package. We recommend that you use the above integration package.

 

 Note: Installing multiple decoder packages will conflict with each other! You only need to select one of the above solutions to install the decoder.

After the decoder is installed, click "tool"-> "Check environment" in the lite MP4 tool. The following dialog box is displayed:

Player selection:You may not be very clear about the decoder and player concepts. So that you do not know what a decoder is. The above is mainly installed on the operating system decoder, but we usually watch movies, in fact, do not use the above installed decoder. BecauseMost of the players now come with their own decoder, which is irrelevant to the system decoder.. The more you may be confused, let's take a look at the specific situation. We can choose to install some suitable players for normal movies, cartoons, and other videos. For example, potplayer, kmplayer, Media Player classic, shooter audio and video, QQ audio and video, storm audio and video 2009, and so on, do not install the decoder in the system, but all come with the player decoder, so it does not matter if the player can be installed at the same time. I recommend that you use a relatively powerful player, such as potplayer and kmplayer. Of course there is no best. Only the one that suits you is the best.
Note: If you want to install the ghost decoding or perfect decoding, it is recommended that you install the potplayer and kmplayer separately. You can uncheck the player you do not need to install during installation:

You can skip this check box and install it separately. If K-lite mega codec pack is installed, you do not need to set it. Therefore, it is easier to install it.
