The close () method method closes the open file. Closed files cannot read or write more. Any action will cause valueerror after the file has been closed. But it is possible to call close () multiple times.

Python automatically shuts down when a file's Reference object is reassigned to another file. It is a good practice to use the close () method to close a file.
