In the process of construction of metropolitan Area Network, the construction of broadband access network, namely user Resident network, is a hotspot. As a form of broadband access, information community access is being widely concerned by operators. In practice, the current popular broadband access technologies are: ADSL, Ethernet, home PNA, APON, LMDS, HFC and so on, and more mature and reliable, universal implementation of access to two types: ADSL broadband access Mode (mixed-type Dslam, Independent type Dslam access), Fiber to cell + Ethernet mode, as shown in Figure 1.

ADSL Broadband Technology
ADSL Broadband technology is compatible with narrowband and broadband services, supports 640kbps/8mbps rates, conforms to itu-tg.922.1 and g.922.2 standards, supports full-rate and G.lite, supports PVC management, 2k VCC crossover, supports hot-swappable, ACM hot Backup.
At present, there are two ways to realize ADSL broadband access: Hybrid Dslam access and independent Dslam access.
Mixed type Dslam access
It utilizes the original AN2000 system, inserts the ACM1 card and the ADSLM card in the RT end, inserts the ACM2 card in the CT end, can adapt the different level user's demand; The 100Mbps Ethernet port is connected with the Community Information Management Center through a built-in/external LAN s/w.
The scheme is mainly narrow-band service, supplemented by broadband services, realize narrowband/broadband integrated connection, transmission network external or built-in sdh/atm155 can be composed of point to point, Star, Ring, tree topology, as shown in Figure 2. This program is suitable for communities with low and dispersed broadband users.

Independent type Dslam Access
Broadband users relatively concentrated in the middle-grade community should be independent type of DSLAM access. The specific structure of the network is shown in Figure 3. Among them, each DSLAM machine frame can provide 128 ADSL ports, the same frame can support a variety of XDSL access; Supports 112 test functions, supports ATM AAL5, ATM UNI 3.1/4.0 PVC, USB, VBR and PPPoA, PPPoE; Flexible network configuration, Plug and Play, to meet the different speed of user needs; The network side supports the ITU g.922.1, the ITU g.922.2.
