This document describes two things for manual backup of SQL Server databases:

1. Full backup and differential backup

2. Backup To File Name and backup to backup device

 

Question 1,

Right-click the database-all tasks-backup database-General tab-backup is divided into database (complete) and database (difference ). Differential backup generally occupies less space than full backup. You do not need to back up all the individual logs backed up during the last full backup.

The rewrite option is available below. Append to media indicates that the backup adopts the append mode, and the original data is retained. Rewriting existing media indicates that the original data will be lost.

 

Question 2,

Purpose: click "add"-"file name" and "backup device. The file name indicates selecting a path and obtaining a file name for the backup data. You can create a backup device temporarily. It is a file that can be operated repeatedly. You can specify the path and name.
