Two methods to help you restore the password of a Cisco Router

When a Cisco router forgets or loses the enable password, there are two methods to restore it, depending on the series of products you are using.
Method 1
Steps:
1. Connect a terminal or a PC with simulation terminal software installed on the console port of the router.
The default register value is 0x2102. The value ranges from the third digit to the left. If it is 1, it is disableBreak. If it is 0, the Break is enabled.
3. Shut down the power supply and restart.
4. Press the Break key on the terminal within 60 seconds after the vro starts. The rommon> prompt is displayed. If this is not the case, the terminal does not send a correct interrupt signal to check whether the Break Key is correct or whether it is set to disable.
6. Enter the initialization command at the rommon> prompt.
