The first time to write this kind of public blog, mainly because of their own installation of Pydev spent a lot of time, so record down
I don't know if there's anyone like me. Automatic installation of Pydev in Eclipse is unsuccessful because of network reasons, so you need to manually install Pydev.
This article describes two methods for manually and automatically installing Pydev, but the focus remains on manual installation:)
Note: If you do not install Eclipse, please install the JDK and eclipse (JDK needs to configure environment variables, enter java-version authentication at the command line, there is not much to introduce!). )
1. The first step is of course download Pydev, official: http://pydev.org/download.html, the bottom of the page click the following connection:
Get Zip releasesSourceForge Download
Jump to this page: http://sourceforge.net/projects/pydev/files/"can also go directly to this page to download OH:)"
Select Pydev and the version to download, save to Local
2. Unzip the zip file
I downloaded the Pydev 2.7.4, extracted two folders: Features, Plugins, eclipse installation directory also has such two folders, respectively copy them to the Eclipse installation directory corresponding folder
It should be noted here that the files inside the plugins can be extracted to the Dropins directory, if you find that the verification Pydev unsuccessful, you can try this method
3. Restart Eclipse
I took a long time to verify the Pydev after the reboot, and finally found out on the internet that a higher version of Pydev might not be compatible with the lower version of Python and then re-downloaded a pydev, which finally succeeded, The verification method is as follows: Click Window--preferences in Eclipse, in the Preferences window, you can see the Pydev directory
The second method of installation, the installation process is relatively simple, but I found a lot of people try to install after the failure, such as me, the installation method is as follows:
1. Open Eclipse, select Help--software Updates and add-ons, click Add Site Input: http://pydev.org/updates,
In this way, eclipse will automatically download the installation Pydev, but in practice after the discovery always failed to download, the above two methods, we choose according to their actual situation ...
