The first type: file encryption. When you open this Excel file, you need to enter a password. Methods: Click the Tools, Options, and then click the Security tab in the menu.
The second type: Worksheet protection. Others can see your table, but cannot modify (or only partially modify, you specify) method: Click on the tool, protect, protect the worksheet (or protect the workbook) in the menu.
